Key to Change is a two hour intervention group that meets once a week for six weeks for individuals referred by the criminal justice system with potential problems with alcohol and other drugs. The focus of the program is to increase awareness of substance abuse and address ambivalence toward drug and alcohol use. The program provides education on substance abuse, effects on the family, related legal issues, and recovery and self help groups. Participants sign an agreement that details the requirements of the Court and the consequences if the participant fails to attend all sessions and receive a certificate of completion which they may show the Court.
Reconnecting Youth offers group support and education for alcohol, drug and/or mental health issues for students who show signs of poor school achievement, the potential for dropping out of school or multiple problem behaviors.
Student Assistance Program provides screening and referral to needed services for students with alcohol, drug abuse and/or mental health issues.
Youth Intervention Program is a three hour group designed for adolescents who have experienced the first consequences of substance use. The program provides education on the potential consequences of use and helps adolescents develop healthy decision making skills regarding substance use and abuse.
You’re Extra Special (YES) is designed to help professionals facilitate age-appropriate groups for children whose lives have been affected by parental alcohol and other drug abuse. Classes are designed to appeal to all types of learners and uses art therapy extensively. The curriculum can involve twelve children’s sessions plus three family interaction sessions.
